Hydrotalcite

Hydrotalcite is a class of layered compounds composed of positively charged hydroxide layers and negatively charged interlayer anions. It is also known as Layered Double Hydroxide (LDH). Its main characteristics include alkalinity, exchangeability of interlayer anions, thermal stability (memory effect), and controllable composition and structure.

Product Introduction

Hydrotalcite is a synthetic layered double hydroxide widely used as an acid absorber and heat stabilizer in PVC processing. It plays an important role in improving the thermal stability and long-term durability of PVC products. As an environmentally friendly additive, Hydrotalcite is commonly used in calcium-zinc stabilizer systems and other lead-free PVC formulations. It helps absorb hydrogen chloride (HCl) released during PVC processing, thereby reducing thermal degradation and improving product stability. Hydrotalcite is widely applied in PVC pipes, profiles, cables, sheets, films, and other plastic products.

Main Features

  • Excellent acid absorption performance
  • Improves thermal stability of PVC
  • Environmentally friendly and non-toxic
  • Good compatibility with PVC formulations
  • Enhances long-term heat resistance
